Brentford ace Canos pleads for return of shin pads after losing them in draw with Liverpool – and offers boots or shirt

BRENTFORD star Sergi Canos has issued a plea for fans to return his shin pads after they were given away to a fan by mistake.

The Spanish winger tweeted his appeal shortly after the conclusion of the Bees' thrilling 3-3 with Prem leaders Liverpool at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday.

Canos, 24, tweeted: "Guys please I left my shin pads on the touch line and some security guy gave them away to you.

"They are very personal with my family pictures.

"Can someone help me find them? I will give you boots or shirts instead."

The Barcelona academy product will now have to wait and see if one of the 16,876 crowd - which included 1,700 Liverpool fans - will give him back his property.

Former Liverpool star Canos played the full game against his former side and helped earn an impressive point against a Reds side who have been in formidable form so far this season.

He put in the cross which was flicked on by Ivan Toney for Ethan Pinnock's 27th-minute opener.

It set the tone for a exciting clash in which both sides held the lead at different points before sub Yoane Wissa hit a late leveller for the hosts.

It was a game in which Liverpool's superstar striker Mo Salah became only the 13th player to score 100 top flight goals for the club.

The Egyptian's emphatic finish shortly after half-time was initially ruled out for offside but then given after a VAR check.
