Chelsea host Manchester City on Saturday in a ‘massive’ clash, with both sides looking to assert their Premier League dominance. Chelsea remain unbeaten this season and top the table, while City are fifth after losing to Tottenham on the opening weekend of the campaign.

The Blues have been in scintillating form in the early part of the season and look like genuine title contenders under Thomas Tuchel.

Former Paris Saint-Germain manager Tuchel has transformed the side since he took the helm in January, steering the west Londoners to Champions League success just four months after arriving.

The European glory came at the expense of City as Pep Guardiola missed out on a first Champions League trophy since moving to England.

In fact, Tuchel has got the better of Guardiola every time he has faced him as Chelsea boss, winning a Premier League clash and an FA Cup semi-final last season before the showpiece event.

The German boss is a defensive genius and has managed to stifle the Citizens’ attacking forces time and time again.

In fact, City have only found the back of the net once in the three games they have come up against Tuchel’s Chelsea.

A win for the Blues on Saturday would give them a six-point lead over City and leave them clear favourites to win the title, even at this early stage of the season.

And one man who says Chelsea need to show their ruthless side is defender Trevoh Chalobah, who will be hoping to line-up in the back three on Saturday.

“We're very confident, full of belief with the quality players that we have,” said the 22-year-old.

“We go into every game, no matter who we play, ready to be ruthless in front of goal and defending our box as well.

“It's very important - it's massive for us because of where we both are in the league right now.

“I think we've done well in big games this season against big opponents and it's another chance for us to go out there and show what we've got - what we're about - and the way we've started this season, we should go into the game full of confidence.

“We want to win every game, be in contention for every cup this season - we want to try and win everything.

“I've got to show the manager and work hard in training every day. I've got to give him that trust so he is ready to play me.

“I'll always be ready to play and always ready to come on and play when needed. I see it that when I do get the chance to play, it's also my chance to impress.”
