Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on his striker after his efforts in an enthralling 3-2 win against AC Milan on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp heaped praise upon his side after a pulsating 3-2 win over AC Milan on a memorable night at Anfield - with special mention given to Divock Origi for his involvement as the manager admitted he will recieve a proper transfer offer for the Belgian.

The Reds prevailed victorious after they came back from 2-1 down at half-time, in a game which should really have been put to bed by the interval following a dominating first half performance.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's deflected effort put the Reds 1-0 up before a contentious penalty was missed by Mohamed Salah.

Ante Rebic then equalised before Brahim Diaz scored moments after to send the Italians into the interval with a very much undeserved lead.

However, true to how Liverpool have played in the past, Salah equalised before a Jordan Henderson stunner won it.

And Klopp heaped praise upon his striker Origi for his efforts on a famous night at Anfield having not started a game for ten months.

"He played a super game, he had cramps," Klopp said after the game.

"People forget how good he is, it’s just it’s difficult to get in this team.

"So in the summer transfer window, there will become a proper offer - but obviously people don’t watch football enough.

"Divock is an incredible striker and did really well. Yeah boss, spectacular, a European night at Anfield, I love it!"

Origi had been ostracised over the last few months following the spectacular efforts of Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott alongside their famous front three of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

But after getting an assist for Salah's equaliser before pulling up with cramp on the hour, Origi contributed heavilty to a great team performance - one which Klopp was extremely complimentary of.

"We started incredibly well, we played a super game, a super super intense game," he added.

"But football-wise as well really good as well. Didn’t give them anything until I don’t know exactly we got punished in the last few minutes before half time but we got punished for it earlier.

"We got a bit carried away by our own football, we couldn’t keep it simple anymore offensively and defensively we weren’t organised anymore.

"When we are organised, Fabinho can pick a ball, a challenge but when the space too big even he can’t get it anymore.

"Last line slightly too deep, they found their way in between and scored two goals.

"It did not feel like we couldn’t come back in the second half, it was clear we had to change and immediately get back to how we started.

"Defensively especially and then we scored wonderful goals both were incredible, well deserved. But we had 10 minutes where Milan nearly changed the whole tie."
