Camavinga's dream debut: A goal after six minutes

Eduardo Camavinga's Real Madrid career has got off to the perfect start. The 18-year-old came on to a great reception at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and within six minutes was putting the ball in the back of the net to give Los Blancos a 4-2 lead.

The French midfielder, a deadline day signing from Rennes, was Carlo Ancelotti's first change, on 65 minutes, and the crowd, finally back at the Bernebeu, were keen to see the highly-rated wonderkid in action.

Replacing Eden Hazard, Camavinga slotted into central midfield as Real Madrid looked to protect their 3-2 lead. After impressing with a few nice touches early on, the youngster would soon be extending his new team's advantage.

In making his debut, the France international became the 33rd youngest player in Real Madrid history. He joins an illustrious list of prospects who made their Madrid debuts as teenagers, including some current teammates.

Vinicius Junior is 18th on the list of youngest Madrid debutants, while Rodrygo is 30th. Topping the list is Martin Odegaard, to whom Ancelotti gave a debut at just 16-years-old, making him unique in the club's history.

With his LaLiga Santander debut now under his belt, the next step for Camavinga is making his Champions League debut for Los Blancos, which he could do on Wednesday, away to Inter.

Assuming he does make his first Champions League appearance for his new club soon, Camavinga will become ninth on the list of youngest Madrid players to feature in the competition, just behind Rodrygo. The record holder in his category is midfielder Jose Rodriguez, who was given his debut by Jose Mourinho at 17-years-old.
