James Rodriguez could leave Everton but stay in the Premier League

The future of James Rodriguez will be decided in the next 10 days as he seeks a move away from Everton, where Rafa Benitez has told him he will not play, but a new suitor has come forward.

James' future at Everton looks to be over with the player even recently admitting he has no idea who the club are playing in their opening Premier League fixtures.

Newcastle, who showed an interest in his services last year, have made an approach for the Colombian.

Coach Steve Bruce has reportedly asked the club's board to approach James, who instead opted to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park 12 months ago.

James has another year on his Everton contract and would demand a transfer fee of 20 million euros, but the major obstacle to any deal is the eight million euros that he earns in wages.

If he were to join Newcastle, or any other club, he would need to take a pay cut.
