Lyon waiting for Liverpool to drop Shaqiri price as talks continue

Lyon and Liverpool continue to haggle over a fee for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Le Progres says Shaqiri is yet to complete a move to Lyon after a bid was submitted early last week.

It is believed the French club's valuation of the player fell way below Liverpool's asking price as the Reds are hopeful to bank at least £12m from his sale.

The gap between the two clubs is 'significant' and Lyon do not want to rush negotiations.

They are hopeful that, as the transfer deadline approaches', an agreement will be 'less difficult' to reach.
