He hadn't paid his car tax

The law is the law, especially when taxes are involved, as David de Gea discovered when his Aston Martin Vantage worth 175,000 euros was clamped.
The Manchester United goalkeeper met with his team-mates for a dinner before the Premier League kicked off last week at the exclusive The Ivy restaurant, but it didn't go well for the Spaniard.
As he left, he found that his car had been clamped and labelled an "untaxed vehicle".
Updating his tax must have slipped by the footballer, who earns 20 million euros per year, and he had to take a taxi home.
According to British media, he wasn't the only one to have misfortune with his car as Luke Shaw also earned a parking ticket while at the meal.
