Ghana star Fatawu Issahaku appears to have confirmed himself as the newest arrival at Liverpool on Instagram.

The 17-year-old has caught the eye for his country's Under-20s at the AFCON where he was the best forward.

In six matches, he scored twice despite being much younger than most others at the tournament

It has seen a number of clubs take interest, including Liverpool, who continued scouting the teenager at Steadfast FC - a side in Ghana.

And now the youngster appears to have confirmed his own arrival at Anfield by posting a bit of a give away on his Instagram page.

Liverpool appear to have signed Fatawu Issahaku

As noticed by Liverpool fans on Twitter, Issahaku added a post to his Insta story that shown a video called: “Here’s why Liverpool signed Abdul Fatawu Issahaku."

It would not be the first time that the Reds have poached talent from around the world with the club preferring to build talents rather than snap up the biggest stars.

In fact, it has been another summer of modest spending with Ibrahima Konate the only notable arrival.

The Frenchman joined from RB Leipzig for around £35m after injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez rocked Liverpool's season last year.

Harvey Elliott is a recent example of a player leaving their boyhood club for Merseyside when he departed from Fulham as a 16-year-old in 2019.

After a successful season with Blackburn, the teenager looks set to join up with Klopp's squad this season.

Other notable talents coming through include Kaide Gordon, who impressed over pre-season during the summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have got off to a flying start this season after thumping Premier League new boys Norwich at Carrow Road.

Diogo Jota opened the scores before Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah added to give Klopp a healthy start to the season.

They face Burnley next weekend in Saturday's early kick-off.
