Tammy Abraham is reportedly set to 'fly out to Rome' on Sunday after Chelsea reached a £34million agreement with Roma. Abraham had struggled to break into Thomas Tuchel's plans at Stamford Bridge after the German head coach took over from Frank Lampard back in January.

He was an unused sub in both the UEFA Super Cup win over Villarreal and the Premier League opening-day victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Chelsea all summer, with the Blues seemingly willing to listen to offers.

Arsenal had shown some interest in signing Abraham, but they've seemingly been pipped to his signature.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has now been reached between Chelsea and Roma.

It is claimed that Roma will pay £34m for the signing of Abraham, with personal terms all agreed.

And the deal is set to be completed in the coming days, with Abraham reportedly set to fly out to Rome on Sunday.

The report adds that Abraham will undergo his medical tests and sign his contract in the next few days.

It brings an end to Abraham's stay at Chelsea, where he began his career in the youth team.

The striker came through the ranks before being called up to the senior team by Guus Hiddink back in 2016.

He went on to make his Premier League debut that season before being loaned out to Bristol City.

Abraham soon made a name for himself in the Championship, scoring an impressive 23 goals and two years later he was in top form again, finding the net 25 times for Aston Villa.

After Lampard was given the job as Chelsea boss in 2019, the Blues icon opted to give Abraham a chance at Stamford Bridge.

And the young forward repaid Lampard's faith with an impressive first full season at Chelsea.

Abraham continued that form into the first half of last season, but Tuchel's arrival appeared to spell the end of his time at Chelsea.

Romelu Lukaku's £97.5million from Inter Milan was apparently the final straw with Abraham now set to join up with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
