Arsenal are all set to kick off the Premier League campaign by travelling to the home of a new London rival in Brentford on Friday evening.
But Mikel Arteta will have some concerns with four players set to miss out on the trip to west London due to injury and another two due to doubts concerning their future.
The Spaniard has strengthened his squad with three new signings, spending £50million on Ben White after securing Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares earlier in the window.
The Gunners will be hoping for a much-improved start to the season this time around after experiencing their worst-ever beginning to a new campaign in 2020-21.
Mikel Arteta will be without a number of key members of his Arsenal squad
On the back of two successive eighth-place finishes in the league, Arsenal will go into the new campaign with no European football for the first time in 25 years.
But they are still rated as favourites to overcome newly-promoted Brentford as they look to get off to a winning start, even if Arteta will be missing some of his regular stars.
