James and Isco candidates to replace Calhanoglu at AC Milan

Former Real Madrid teammates, James Rodriguez and Isco are potential AC Milan transfer targets as the Italian club have reportedly placed them on their radar.
Despite their similar style, the two men even played together under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, but both then fell back in the Frenchman's pecking order.
According to reports in Italy, the Rossoneri are in search of a player to fill Hakan Calhanoglu's void, following his move to Inter, with both Isco and James having emerged as potential candidates.
While Isco remained at Los Blancos despite losing prominence, James departed to Bayern Munich on loan and moved to Everton last summer in search of playing time.
Isco is one year younger than James and his salary demands would be lower than the Colombia international's, but it is uncertain whether Milan are in the financial position to cover his wages.
Real Madrid would agree to offloading the Spanish midfielder this summer as his contract expires in 2022, otherwise they would lose him on a free transfer as they are not expected to extend his current deal.
