Serie A champions Inter Milan have unveiled Simone Inzaghi as their new manager, a week after previous boss Antonio Conte announced that he would be stepping down.
Inzaghi joins Inter Milan having spent five years at fellow Serie A side Lazio, leading them to a sixth-placed finish and Europa League football this season.
However, the ex-Italian international will have a rebuilding job on his hand at the San Siro, with Fabrizio Romano suggesting that the club must sell up to 80 million euros worth of talent just to balance the books after their finances were wrecked by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Lukaku not looking to leave
One of the players who looks as though he will be staying in Milan this summer however is striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has been strongly linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge, where he was on the books of Chelsea between 2011 and 2014.
However, the Belgian forward confirmed yesterday that he would not be leaving Inter.
Speaking ahead of Belgium's friendly against Greece, Lukaku cleared up his future, saying: "Yes, I am staying. I've already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn't say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation," he said.
Lukaku staying put will be a huge relief to the incoming Inzaghi, although he will no doubt still be fearful of who may have to leave to balance the books this summer.
