Chelsea-linked Robert Lewandowski discusses his future

Lewandowski's Bayern stint

Robert Lewandowski is arguably the best natural centre-forward in world football.

Harry Kane is perhaps the closest challenger to the Polish international, but the 32-year-old is clear when it comes to simply finding the net.

Even across the current campaign, during which he has missed some big games through injury, Lewandowski has managed to net a staggering 48 goals and provide nine assists in 40 outings across all competitions.

Last season also saw the veteran play an integral role in Bayern dominating both domestically and in Europe, with the striker eventually rewarded for his superb form with the award for The Best Men's Player award.

It is likely that he would have also picked up the Ballon d'Or, but the ceremony was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Chelsea & Man City interested in Bayern striker

Now, though, despite still being at the top of his game, it appears that Lewandowski's future at the Allianz Arena is in doubt.

Reports earlier this month claimed that Chelsea and Manchester City had emerged as contenders to sign the Pole – who is said to be undecided on his future – this summer.

And now, Lewandowski himself has spoken out about his future in Germany.

The forward's comments are also unlikely to have quelled any speculation about a possible transfer,

Granted, he did say he feels good at Bayern and labelled them a great club.

However, Lewandowski also said he remains opened-minded and is curious to learn a new language and culture, though he did say that may happen after football:

"I remain open-minded. I feel very good at Bayern, the city is superb, it's a great club.

"I am always curious to learn a new language, a new culture. But whether it will be in football or after my career, even I don't know."

The forward is still tied down in Germany till 2023, so you would imagine he would still set any side back a decent fee despite his age, just because of what a truly top talent he is.
