De Bruyne goes off in the Champions League final
Saturday night's Champions League final was a tough one for Kevin de Bruyne, as he followed Thiago Silva in having to be taken off injured.
The Belgian midfielder was forced off in the 58th minute after being treated for a few minutes, having collided with Antonio Rudiger. Unfortunately for Pep Guardiola's side, De Bruyne was the worse off of the two.
The German was also uncomfortable, but he was able to continue playing with his protective mask. He was booked, though, for his hit on the midfielder.
De Bruyne, though, had a bruised cheekbone and had to be replaced. As he left the pitch, he was consoled by Guardiola and ice was applied to the injured area.
