Belotti’s Torino stint
Andrea Belotti joined Torino in 2015 from fellow Italian outfit, Palermo.
The Granata are understood to have paid around £7.5m to land the forward, a fee which has since proven something of a bargain.
All told, in 222 outings across all competitions for the club, Belotti has managed to find the net on 104 occasions, whilst also providing 26 assists.
And though Torino, as a club, are enduring a fairly disappointing 2020/21 campaign – which looks likely to see them only just avoid relegation – Belotti has remained pretty impressive, netting 12 goals and providing seven assists in 29 Serie A appearances.
The attacker has also notched 11 times in 32 outings for Italy, since his debut in 2016.
Andrea Bellotti linked with Liverpool & Manchester United
And now, Belotti appears to be attracting interest from some top Premier League clubs.
Chelsea and Everton have previously been credited with an interest in the striker.
According to Goal, citing Italian outlet Tuttosport, though, it is Manchester United and Liverpool who are now eyeing a move for Belotti.
AC Milan and Inter Milan are also said to be interested in the 27-year-old, whose current contract will have just one year to run in the summer.
Torino, for their part, appear resigned to losing Belotti in the near future, with it claimed that il Toro have already lined up Cagliari’s Joao Pedro as a replacement, should their star man leave in the summer.
No potential fee is mentioned in the report, but one would assume that Belotti’s contract situation will likely force Torino to sell for a reduced sum.
