Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up ahead of his side's Europa League clash with Granada on Thursday night.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up ahead of side's Europa League clash with Granada. The Red Devils go into the second leg of their quarter-final leading 2-0. Goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes in Spain means they're expected to sail through to the last four.

United beat Tottenham 3-1 last time out, with comments from Solskjaer going viral in the aftermath.

The Norwegian accused Son Heung-min of overreacting to a loose arm from Scott McTominay to get a goal from Edinson Cavani chalked off.

Solskjaer had said the South Korea international ‘wouldn’t have got any food’ if he was his child, bemoaning the Tottenham star for what he perceived to be bad sportsmanship.

And now, speaking ahead of his team’s clash with Granada, he’s opened up on Son again.

"I think every manager has a certain values,” he said when asked if he’d been hypocritical to take aim at the forward.

"When I got sent off against Newcastle many, many years ago I thought I did the right thing for the club.

"Sir Alex Ferguson absolutely lambasted me after the game 'We don't win that way at Man United'.

"We want to win playing by the book."

Solskjaer also confirmed there would be changes to his team, especially with Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay all suspended.

"It is never a positive not to have everyone available,” he said.

"But we have players ready to deputise. We are ready to deal with that."

"We have to make sure we go through, I always pick a team I think will win a game.

"We will go into the game wanting to win this. We want to improve our performances. There will be a few changes, yeah. Some forced, some rotation.

"We go into game having to do everything we need to do to win. We don't want any lazy yellow cards, just play the game properly."

Solskjaer also hailed Jesse Lingard.

The West Ham star has scored nine goals from eight games since joining in January, clocking up three assists along the way.

And the Norweigan confirmed he was open to having Lingard back at the club.

"Jesse has been brilliant since he left," he said.

"We could have kept him, he has always got a part to play. Man United through and through, never caused me a problem.

"He deserved a chance to play more football, that is why we left him go to West Ham.

"We would welcome him back, we hope he will go to the Euros. I hope he has strong finish to the league.

"It was different here. Bruno's form in the same position. Delighted though for Jesse."
