German police investigate Moukoko after he locked ex-girlfriend in flat

The German police have opened an investigation into Borussia Dortmund prodigy Youssoufa Moukoko, after he allegedly locked his ex-girlfriend in his flat against her will.

The 16-year-old striker, who will miss the rest of the season through injury, had a heated argument with the girl and locked her in his house before going to training.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, after having realised what happened, his ex-girlfriend called the police who went to Moukoko's flat and opened the door.

No complaint has been filed against the Borussia Dortmund forward, but the German police have nonetheless opened an investigation into the incident.

Quick emancipation

Dortmund have their own residence halls for homegrown players, but Moukoko had asked both the club and his parents for their permission to stay on his own, as reported by Bild.

This season, Moukoko became the youngest player in the club's history to debut in both the Bundesliga and Champions League.
