Official who asked Haaland to sign his cards donates them to charity

Assistant referee, Octavian Sovran, explained that he had asked Erling Haaland to sign his red and yellow cards, for the purposes of donating them to an autism charity which will sell them.

Sovran does this on a regular basis and always donates the proceeds to various charities, with Lionel Messi having previously been approached by the Romanian official.

The official explained to playsport.ro on Thursday his intentions with regards to the cards signed by Norway's centre-forward sensation, bringing to an end any suggestion of bias in favour of the Dortmund forward.
