Paul Gascoigne earns love of famous porn star with antics on 'Italy's I'm A Celeb'

Paul Gascoigne's latest admirer on Italy's version of I'm A Celebrity is a famous porn star.

Gazza, 53, has been praised for his personality by Eva Henger on a daytime TV show.

The ex-Spurs and Newcastle star has won over fans with his appearances on Isola dei Famosi, which in English means Island of the Stars, despite his poor command of Italian.

Eva Henger, 48, who made more than a dozen blue movies before turning to serious acting said: "I'm in love with Paul Gascoigne.

"He's the number one person on the island and is so funny, I can't stop laughing every time he says or does something."

Eva, who starred on the show herself three years ago, added: "To get ahead and win you have to be a character and have a personality and from what I have seen that's Gascoigne.”

Gazza was accepted onto the two-month show, filmed on the Cayos Cochinos islands off the coast of Honduras, after passing a series of tough physical and mental tests.

He horrified campmates and viewers in stitches earlier this week by revealing his favourite food is ham and pineapple pizza, a big culinary no-no in Italy and especially Naples where pizza was invented.

Diary footage released yesterday from the island showed the former England midfielder covering himself with shaving cream after mistaking it for sunblock and leaving his team-mates in stitches.

Gazza played for Italian side Lazio in the early 90s and had intensive language lessons before entering the show.

He was dropped into the ocean by helicopter on the first show’s live opening on Monday and made to swim to his tropical island camp.
