Paul Pogba paid a loving tribute to his mum and his wife with a heartfelt Mother's Day post on Instagram.

The Manchester United midfielder took time out to praise his mum Yeo and his wife Maria Zulay.

Zulay is the mother of the Premier League star's two-year-old son, Labile Shakur.

Pogba posted snaps of the two special women in his life, with each pictured receiving a kiss from the France international.

And in a touching tribute, he gave a nod to those who may have lost their mums during the pandemic.

Along with the images, Pogba wrote: "Today is a day to remember all of the mothers.

"The mothers that are here with us today and mothers that can no longer celebrate.

"Enjoy the precious moments with the people that gave you life, laugh with them, hug them, spend time with them because you only have one.

"Take a moment to embrace the love and remember your mum! #HappyMothersDay"

Pogba ended his message with emojis of a kissing face and a bunch of flowers.

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala were among those who commented on the post - which received more than 700,000 likes within a few hours of being shared to Pogba's 43million followers.

Pogba will miss United's game against West Ham at Old Trafford on Mother's Day, with the midfielder sidelined by an ongoing thigh injury.

The 27-year-old's continued absence means his Red Devils future is still shrouded in mystery, with his contract set to expire in 2022.

Pogba hit form for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side earlier this season before his injury, but has frequently been linked with interest from Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG over the past couple of seasons.

United will look to keep up the pressure on Manchester City on Sunday evening when they host West Ham - as well as dealing a blow to their opponents' top-four hopes.

ity's win over Fulham on Saturday opened up a 17-point lead at the top of the Premier League, albeit Pep Guardiola's side have played two more games than United.
