Manchester City have denied having made an offer to sign Lionel Messi, but they are reportedly willing to acquire Harry Kane's services.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are not willing to sell their superstar for less than 160 million euros to a direct Premier League rival.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are aware that Sergio Aguero will depart in June when his current deal comes to an end and they are hoping to provide Gabriel Jesus with competition for a spot upfront.
Kevin De Bruyne has been the most expensive signing in the history of the Sky Blues, who spent 80m euros to lure him back to England from Wolfsburg.
After admitting that signing Messi is practically impossible, Manchester City will have to spend double the aforementioned figure to get Kane this summer.
