Dele Alli is “pushing to join PSG” after his latest snub by Jose Mourinho - but Tottenham are not convinced.

The Englishman made it five Premier League games without an appearance as he was not included in the 3-1 win over Sheffield United.

Playing just 74 minutes in the top flight this season, it has seen the midfielder get linked with a move away from the club.

A reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at PSG has reportedly been getting close, with the Argentine looking to grab one of his star players in north London.

And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano have reported that Alli is doing everything he can to make it happen.

Writing on Twitter following the team news announcement at Brammall Lane, he said: “Dele Alli is not in the squad today.

“He wants to leave Tottenham, still pushing to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan.”

Romano previously wrote: “PSG are very keen to sign Dele Alli on loan. Pochettino wants him and Dele is pushing to leave Tottenham - he respects the club but he wants to play.”

The PSG boss has cast aside moves for other players - including ex-Spurs man and Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen - to get Alli at the Parc des Princes.

But Daniel Levy is making negotiations difficult for his former manager over the 24-year-old.

Romano continued: “Talks on - Spurs are not convinced yet... but PSG won’t give up on this deal as reported on Thursday.

He added previously: “Tottenham at the moment are not convinced yet and they’re taking time. The deal is not ‘easy’.”

Alli has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season, with eight coming in Spurs’ cup competitions.

And it was his assist for Vinicius that got the scoring started in a 5-0 FA Cup rout of non-league side Marine.

But fans are convinced the midfielder’s role in the starting XI was part of a Mourinho plan to put his skills on display to PSG.
