Tottenham are watching Sergio Ramos' contract situation at Real Madrid.
The Evening Standard says Tottenham are in the market for a centre-half and Ramos is a target as his contract expires in June.
Jose Mourinho is thought to want a dominant individual at the heart of his defence, one whom comes with plenty of experience, much like Thiago Silva at Chelsea.
Ramos is now 34 but continues to produce and has remained integral to Los Blancos, the club he joined in 2005.
He has won a host of honours since then including four Champions League titles.
Should Tottenham fail to sign the Madrid star they may turn their attention back to Milan Skriniar at Inter Milan.
