Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool have all been linked with moves for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool have all been linked with moves for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in recent months as the pair debate their future at PSG. However, following comments from Parc des Princes chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, it appears that the pair will stay in France.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed that the club is in talks to extend the contracts of star men Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The news will come as a blow to several European giants including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool, who have all been linked with a move for the pair in recent months.

Neymar scored a hat-trick on Wednesday night as PSG secured a 5-1 win in their delayed Champions League clash with Istanbul Basaksehir.

Mbappe also bagged two goals, showing just how vital the two forwards are to the French giants.

And speaking after the match, Qatari businessman and Parc des Princes chief Al-Khelaifi claimed that talks of extending the duo’s contracts had begun.

"We have begun to talk with Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, the discussions will remain confidential but I am very confident,” he told RMC

"They both want to stay with us at PSG.”

Mbappe had been linked with a move to Liverpool multiple times in order to find a new challenge.

Meanwhile, Neymar confirmed that he was “happy” with life in France, insisting that he would be pleased to stay on in the capital, despite talk of a return to Barcelona.

He told RMC: "I am very happy here in Paris. I am very happy at the club, with my teammates.

"The idea of leaving does not cross my mind. We have to discuss. We have a very good relationship and see what will happen in the future."

However, that goes against what he said just last week that he was desperate to reunite with Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

"What I want most of all is to play with Messi again, to be able to enjoy him once again on the pitch,” said Neymar after the win over Manchester United.

"He can play in my place, I have no problem with that. But I want to play with him next year, for sure. We have to do it next season.”
