Manchester United fans have called for the immediate appointment of Mauricio Pochettino after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were knocked out of the Champions League by RB Leipzig on Tuesday
Manchester United fans have begged the club to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Mauricio Pochettino.
The Red Devils sensationally crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday despite winning three of their first four group matches and only needing a point from their final two games.
United had beaten each of PSG and RB Leipzig before losing to Istanbul Basaksehir, which they avenged at Old Trafford before losing to both PSG and now Leipzig.
The 3-2 loss in Germany has piled pressure on the shoulders of their Norwegian manager, with his job being linked to former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino by fans on Tuesday evening.

One fan said: “Pochettino would fix that. Make the decision while he is still available.”
Another added: "If Solskjaer is allowed to carry on then there’s the possibility of losing Pochettino to Real Madrid. Get rid of him ASAP.”
A third continued: “If we lose, expect Pochettino to be announced tomorrow!”
A fourth went on to say: “Solskjaer director of football and Pochettino should be in charge.”

Premier League veteran and former England international goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Ladbrokes last month when asked about the availability of Pochettino: “I think as long as Pochettino is out of work, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is always going to be under pressure.
"He's always going to get linked with Manchester United and his stock hasn't gone down at all since being sacked by Tottenham.
"He's regarded as one of the top managers, despite not winning anything of note. Whenever there is a top job available, he's always going to be linked regardless.”
Solskjaer said before the match when asked about benching Paul Pogba: "My decision tonight is obviously tactical.

"That's the only thing. We made a team decision a way bit before this game, because we decided on Scott and Nemanja in that midfield before we played West Ham.
"For me, you prepare for every single game as if it's your last one, more or less, you go there, this is the one and we know we've got City on Saturday.
"We're focused on this one, the preparation has been good, the boys had a recovery session yesterday and a bit of a walk through today."
