Aguero's Man City stint
Sergio Aguero has stood out as one of Manchester City's star men of the last decade.
Along with Vincent Kompany and David Silva, Aguero will no doubt be remembered as one of the core group of players who helped turn City into a dominant force in English football.
All told, the Argentine has notched 255 goals and 73 assists in 374 appearances for the Sky Blues since joining from Atletico Madrid.
Aguero is also the 4th top scorer in Premier League history, and the highest foreign player on the same list.
The 32-year-old's exploits have proven integral in helping City to four league titles, an FA Cup and a staggering five League Cups.
Aguero to sign new Man City deal?
Aguero's stint at the Etihad, however, had, until recently, looked set to be coming to a close.
The Argentine has less than 12 months remaining on his current City contract, and will be 33 by the time his current terms expire at the end of the 2020/21 season.
The ageing forward has also struggled with injuries this season, which have limited him to just four appearances across all competitions.
Despite such issues, however, ESPN have recently reported that the Citizens are hopeful of agreeing a new short-term contract with Aguero.
No further information is provided regarding the potential length of the deal.
