Liverpool fearing the worst over Van Dijk injury
Liverpool face an anxious wait to discover the extent of Virgil van Dijk’s knee injury, amid fears the Dutchman is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Van Dijk was forced off just 11 minutes into the Reds’ 2-2 draw at Everton on Saturday, following a reckless challenge from Blues goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
He was sent for a hospital scan immediately after the game, with Liverpool’s medical staff concerned at the possibility of serious ligament damage.
Barca trio accept wage cut
Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Frenkie de Jong and Clement Lenglet are the only first-team players that have accepted proposed wage cuts at Barcelona, according to Catalunya Radio.
They opted against signing the burofax on behalf of players who were against the suggested reduction salaries.

A move to Manchester now looks like it will happen next season with Barcelona reportedly resigned to the transfer happening eventually.
