Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed two players may leave the club.
Frank Lampard says there "may be movement" with Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek's futures as the pair are linked with transfers away from Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Blues are gearing up to announced Edouard Mendy on Thursday after the Senegal international passed his medical.
Chelsea thrashed Championship side Barnsley 6-0 on Wednesday night with a number of fringe players getting a runout.
However, there were notable absentees in Rudiger and Loftus-Cheeks as the pair were expected to be involved.
It has since come to light that Germany international Rudiger could be moved on before the October 5 deadline with Barcelona and Roma apparently interested.
Midfielder Loftus-Cheek may also be offloaded as the Blues look to balance the books after spending over £200million this summer.
"They weren't in the squad and that was just a choice," Lampard said.

"There may be movement, but don't read too much in to them not being in the squad.
"It will have to be right for the club."
Meanwhile, Chelsea have agreed a deal with French club Rennes for goalkeeper Mendy.
Lampard acknowledged earlier this week that a deal for the 28-year-old would be announced after he passes his medical.
"With Mendy coming in, it’s more competition so every reaction will have to be positive around that for Kepa and for Mendy to push to try and play in this team," he explained.
"We know the standards that are required of a goalkepeer in this team and we have to push for that.
"Petr was important in that because goalkeeper is a very particular position and he was the best in the world at that position for a long time so he's certainly had a big say in this situation from my point of view.
"I lean heavily on him when it comes to the goalkeepers day-to-day and planning for the future so he was very influential."

RMC Sport claims Chelsea will announce the transfer on Thursday after the medical was passed.
Mendy is expected to challenge Kepa Arrizabalaga for a starting spot because the Spaniard continues to make a host of errors.
Willy Caballero, who made three terrific saves at the start off Chelsea's win over Barnsley, will drop down the pecking order to third choice.
