Doncaster’s new signing Rayhaan Tulloch could make his debut in the home game against MK Dons.
Teenage forward Tulloch joined on a season-long loan from West Brom on Friday and teams back up with Rovers boss Darren Moore.
Fellow summer signings Cameron John, Josef Bursik, Tyreece John-Jules and Taylor Richards are also hoping to make their debuts, while Moore has a fully-fit squad to choose from.
Left-back Reece James is back in contention after a leg injury kept him out of Rovers’ last two pre-season friendlies and the EFL trophy win against Bradford.
MK Dons will be without injured quartet George Williams, Richard Keogh, Louis Thompson and Kieran Agard.
Midfielder Ben Gladwin, signed permanently in July following his spell at the club last season, is expected to start on the bench as he builds up his match fitness.
Defender Daniel Harvie is available following international duty for Scotland Under-21s.
Fellow summer signings Warren O’Hora, Lasse Sorensen and Scott Fraser are all in contention for their league debuts.
