Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were caught eating together in a Barcelona restaurant on Wednesday night.

The pair left in their separate cars from what could be their last ever dinner together as Barcelona players.

El Chiringuito de Jugones' cameras were able to catch the first picture of Messi since the announcement of his burofax message that he sent to Barcelona, declaring he wanted to leave the club.

The decision to dispense with Suarez is one of the many reasons said to be behind Messi's decision.

Manchester City look to be leading the race to sign Messi, but while he waits for a move to be negotiated, reports in Argentina state that the 33-year-old will turn up for pre-season training with Barcelona.
