Real Madrid don't want title celebrations that put fans' health at risk
No party at Cibeles

Given that Real Madrid could clinch the 2019/20 LaLiga Santander title this Thursday, the authorities in the Spanish capital are already starting to think about possible title celebrations and how to deal with this in these times of coronavirus.
Normally, Real Madrid fans gather at Cibeles Fountain to celebrate their titles and the players even visit too as part of an official party.
However, Real Madrid directors are determined to avoid any situations that put supporters' health at risk and it is, therefore, unlikely that they'll go to Cibeles this year.
Instead, a celebration might be organised at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu at a later date when it is safe to do so.
The city council is even working on setting up security measures to prevent fans from spontaneously gathering there on Thursday or Sunday night, keen to avoid repeating the kinds of scenes experienced in Cadiz after their promotion to LaLiga Santander.
"Please don't celebrate at Cibeles", Madrid mayor Jose Luis Martinez Almeida has said.
"Celebrate instead with Real Madrid flags on the balconies."
Health minister Salvador Illa has had his say too, referring to the images from Cadiz.
"We've seen a lot of images like celebrating promotions that were worrying," he said.
"We can do many things in this phase and we can have fun, but we cannot lose respect for the virus.
"We must follow the recommendations."
