FORMER Newcastle and Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has revealed a stunning body transformation under lockdown.
Posting before and after photographs to his Instagram, the 34-year-old brain tumour survivor urged his followers that a "few positive changes" can make a big difference.
Enrique revealed an impressive body transformation
A slimmed-down frame and the makings of a six-pack are the clear benefits of the Spaniard's efforts.
Enrique wrote on Instagram: "What a difference a few positive changes can make!
"I only started with my daily workouts and adding various Herbalife products alongside my diet a short time ago.
"This has included a daily power walk and a small hit session in the afternoon, but what I strongly want to encourage with this is for you guys to start introducing movement into your lives, even if it's just a few times a week through getting them steps in, light jogging, hit or yoga sessions, everything counts!
"If you start moving more alongside a healthy balanced diet then you will see changes very quickly just as I am starting to!"
After retiring at a relatively young age due to knee injuries, Enrique underwent surgery on a brain tumour in 2018.
And he recently opened up on the difficulties he has faced since hanging up his boots.
Having left the "bubble" that footballers live in, the ex-left-back was faced with having to find a new career and turned to life as a football agent.
Enrique told Tribuna: "I lived in a bubble.
"You do what you love, get paid well, receive so much attention, everyone treats you so good wherever you go. And then, all of a sudden, it stops.
"Now my partner tells me, ‘Jose, go and clean the s*** off the car’. And I go and clean it.
"I used to do it anyway but as a footballer, you have your cleaners, it’s a completely different life. When it all stops, the bubble just bursts."
Jose Enrique spent four years at Newcastle before a £7m move to Liverpool
He added: "What do I want? Do I want to be on holiday for the rest of my life? No, I don’t.
"You want to be something as a human being. You want to work, you want to do something that makes you feel proud of yourself. I feel proud being an agent.
"Humans need to work, you can’t be on holidays all the time. It’s very important to have a plan before you retire."
