Everton boost as PSG confirm Thiago Silva exit

Everton's interest in Thiago Silva has been boosted after it was confirmed he's leaving PSG.

PSG have announced Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts.

Cavani, 33, has been linked with Atletico Madrid and River Plate in Argentina while 35-year-old Silva, tje French club's former captain, is set to depart after eight years at the Parc des Princes.

The Brazilian defender has been linked with a free transfer to Everton in recent weeks.

"Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva will leave PSG at the end of the season, it's confirmed," sporting director Leonardo told reporters.
