Barcelona forward Ansu Fati announced on Wednesday that he has joined the solidarity campaign 'No home without food', an initiative that was born with the aim of helping families in need due to the coronavirus crisis.
Big names in culture, sport and gastronomy have joined forces to help food banks, and Ansu Fati accepted the 'challenge' set to him by Maria Jesus Catala, CaixaBank's territorial director in Western Andalusia and Extremadura.
The 17-year-old then nominated Barcelona teammates Ivan Rakitic and Junior Firpo to help out, so it is more than likely that both will accept in the coming hours.
Barcelona, as an institution, are already helping this cause, as are Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Espanyol, Real Betis, Sevilla, Villarreal and Real Valladolid.
On a personal level, sportspeople such as Jordi Alba, Joaquin Sanchez, Ona Carbonell and Jose Manuel Calderon are also a part of this initiative.
