Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Real Sociedad to qualify for Champions League?

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) are continuing to work so that the season can resume in the way UEFA have suggested, however that doesn't mean they have turned their back on reality and have submitted a proposal to UEFA that would see Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Real Sociedad in the Champions League should the LaLiga Santander season not resume.
On Thursday, the RFEF's Delegate Commission met to consider all possible situations regarding European competitions for the upcoming campaign, giving priority to the teams that were in qualification places at the time football stopped in Spain.
As such, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Real Sociedad would be in the Champions League, courtesy of being inside the top four.
Atletico Madrid and Getafe would narrowly miss out and qualify for the Europa League.
When UEFA requests the teams, if the competition hasn't resumed by then, the RFEF will give those names to the governing body.
What hasn't been decided is whether the same method would decide the champions, promotions and relegation in LaLiga Santander.
The RFEF will send this proposal to UEFA when it is requested, although UEFA are set to meet next week in order to continue making decisions in a unified way among the 55 member associations.
