Chelsea boss Lampard puts Dembele top of shopping list

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has put Lyon striker Moussa Dembele top of his shopping list.

The Evening Standard says Chelsea are expected to strengthen the attack in the summer and have identified Dembele as the man to shoulder some of the attacking burden.

Dembele is the Blues' preferred target ahead of RB Leipzig ace Timo Werner.

The French striker is seen as an upgrade on both Giroud and Batshuayi, while the 23-year-old will provide competition with Abraham for a starting spot.

But Dembele will not come cheap as he is under contract with Lyon until 2023.

The striker has 22 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 side this season and Lyon are confident of fending off approaches in the summer.
