Chelsea are pondering if they are going to join the race to land Marc-Andre Ter Stegen if he decides to quit Barcelona this summer.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is ready to ditch record flop Kepa Arrizabalaga after dropping him following a series of disappointing displays. Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Arrizabalaga which would then open the door for Lampard to bring in a big-name replacement.

The Blues have taken a look at Cameron international Andre Onana who looks set to quit Dutch outfit Ajax at the end of the season.

They have also scouted AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma who is also on the wanted list of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

And they have now been alerted to German international Ter Stegen who is carefully weighing up his future with the Catalan club after falling out with Lionel Messi.

Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Ajax playmaker has signed a five-year contract with Chelsea after impressing in Holland.

Ziyech has been vocal on his move to west London, revealing Lampard played a key part in his decision.

When asked whether Lampard affected the transfer, he said: “[He played] a big role.

"We had a lot of contact in the last couple of weeks and he gave me a good feeling and that was also big to do with the decision.

"I’m happy, proud, I am excited and I cannot wait.

"It [Chelsea] is a big club in a big competition.

"I like the style of play, they play really attacking football, and that is something that fits me and that is one of the biggest reasons I chose therefore.”

Chelsea are back in action on Sunday afternoon against Everton in the Premier League.

A win for the Blues could send Lampard’s men to within two points of Leicester in third.
