Wrexham held to goalless draw

Wrexham were held to a goalless draw in Saturday’s National League match against Eastleigh at the Racecourse Ground.
The home side got off to a strong start and Jordon Thompson’s floated cross was dealt with before Davis Keillor-Dunn had an effort blocked.
Wrexham continued to dominate possession and – just before the break – Jordan Ponticelli fired a shot over the crossbar after a great flick on by Thompson.
Aden Baldwin’s header for Eastleigh was saved eight minutes into the second half, while Ponticelli had a goal ruled out for offside just after the hour as both sides pushed for an opener but the spoils were shared to leave Wrexham perilously close to the relegation zone.
