Bolton defender Liam Edwards has been ruled out for the rest of the season and manager Keith Hill has other injury worries for the visit of Accrington.
Edwards sustained a broken kneecap in training and will find out next week whether he requires an operation.
Another training ground incident saw forward Muhammadu Faal sustain a cut to his feet.
Defender Harry Brockbank is doubtful with illness, while forward Ronan Darcy (foot) is training again after a setback last week but is unlikely to be ready for the weekend.
Accrington defender Mark Hughes remains a doubt after missing the midweek defeat at Oxford.
The 33-year-old has undergone a scan on a calf injury but it could rule him out.
Fellow defender Aji Alese has been troubled by a minor back problem this week and will be assessed.
Meanwhile, striker Colby Bishop looks set to keep his place after impressing in the Oxford clash last time out.
