Luton Town vs Brentford - Luton trio face late fitness tests ahead of Brentford clash
Posted Tuesday, February 25, 2020 by PA
Luton will check on the fitness of Izzy Brown, Kazenga LuaLua and captain Sonny Bradley ahead of the visit of Brentford.
The trio all missed the defeat at Charlton last time out with minor knocks and Hatters boss Graeme Jones will hope to have them back in contention.
Danny Hylton continues to ease his way back from a knee injury, while Callum McManaman got more minutes under his belt as a substitute at The Valley after recovering from a hamstring strain.
In an upturn in form, Jones’ side have won three of their last six games but still remain bottom of the Sky Bet Championship table and six points from safety.
Brentford will assess Mathias Jensen before making the trip to Kenilworth Road.
The midfielder was absent from Saturday’s draw against Blackburn with a knock sustained during the draw with Birmingham the previous weekend.
Pontus Jansson is close to returning after a month out and he will soon be a big boost to the Bees’ back-line ahead of the promotion run-in.
Sergi Canos, Nikos Karelis and Kamohelo Mokotjo are still recovering from injuries – although the former has returned to training after four months out.
