Aldershot climbed above opponents Maidenhead in the National League table and moved three points clear of the relegation places after a 2-1 win at York Road.
Captain Dean Rance lashed home an eighth-minute opener, damaging the net in the process, and Harry Panayiotou doubled the lead on the break in the 21st minute as Aldershot enjoyed the benefit of the wind in the first half.
Shots lost Lewis Kinsella to injury before half-time, while Maidenhead’s Joe Ellul was replaced at half-time.
Ellul’s replacement Ryan Upward went close and visiting keeper Mitch Walker did well to prevent Danny Whitehall pulling one back.
Remy Clerima did cut the deficit but Maidenhead were unable to find an equaliser, Whitehall’s late free-kick the closest they came, while their keeper Taye Ashby-Hammond denied substitute Gyliano Van Velzen a third at the other end.
