Woking and Stockport drew 1-1 in Saturday’s Vanarama National League contest at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.
The visitors were quickly out of the blocks, taking a fifth-minute lead when Danny Lloyd fired home Sam Walker’s corner – the midfielder’s first goal since returning to the club on loan from Salford.
However, Woking were level five minutes later through Alex Wall, who bundled the ball in from close range following a long throw-in by Jack Cook.
Cook had an eventful first 45 minutes, clearing a Liam McAlinden effort off the line midway through the half before going close himself six minutes before the break, then Woking’s Ben Gerring headed narrowly wide from a corner.
Wall squandered the best chance of the second half, dragging a shot wide of goal with just keeper Ben Hinchliffe to beat in the 71st minute.
