Manchester City will have to spend big in the summer.
Manchester City are plotting a huge spending spree in order to sign a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, according to reports. The Citizens are believed to be targeting Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.
City boss Pep Guardiola has a tough task on his hands with trying to replace Aguero.
The Argentine is approaching the twilight years of his career, and will be going into the final year of his contract next season.
City only have one backup striker in the shape of Gabriel Jesus, and chiefs at the Etihad are believed to be concerned over whether he can be the long-term replacement for Aguero.
Guardiola previously declared the striker was irreplaceable, with the 31-year-old expected to return to Argentina next summer.

Despite reports linking the Citizens with Lionel Messi, they seem unlikely to make a move for the Barcelona forward.
Speaking on Friday, Guardiola insisted he wanted to see the six-time Ballon d’Or winner stay at the Nou Camp.
Instead, City officials have a host of big-name targets in mind, as Guardiola knows he will need to get the chequebook out to bring in a top-quality forward.
Mbappe, Kane and Lautaro Martinez are all on the Spaniard’s shopping list according to the Daily Mirror, and it is possible that City will spend big next summer once Aguero's contract expires.
French megastar Mbappe is under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until 2022, and is considered to be the most valuable player in the world.
But once Aguero's contract expires, Mbappe will be entering into the final year of his, meaning it is possible that he will have let PSG know of his intentions to leave.
Mbappe has flirted with the idea of leaving Ligue 1, after he declared he would be willing to try a new challenge last year.
Earlier this month, he was seen clashing with Thomas Tuchel on the touchline at the Parc des Princes after being taken off against Montpellier.

This led to further speculation that Mbappe was unhappy in the French capital, amid interest from Real Madrid.
Kane, on the other hand, would seemingly be much harder for City to sign due to the length of his contract.
The 26-year-old is under contract until 2024, meaning Tottenham still have the ability to command an astronomical fee for their star man if City come knocking.
Before joining the club in November, Jose Mourinho reportedly told Daniel Levy to guarantee that any bids for Kane are rejected, meaning an exit is incredibly unlikely.
