Carlisle come from two down to snatch a point at Mansfield

Two late goals saw Carlisle United overturn a 2-0 deficit to snatch an unlikely 2-2 draw away to fellow strugglers Mansfield.
Nicky Maynard’s second half brace had the Stags in the box seat before a freak Elliot Watt goal nine minutes from time saw nerves jangle and then Joshua Kayode popped up in added time with an equaliser.
There were few chances in a poor quality first half with United unable to capitalise on the strong wind behind them.
But Mansfield broke through after 58 minutes as a long Bobby Olejnik ball reached Danny Rose, who fed Maynard to his right for a crisp low finish from just inside the box.
Maynard doubled his tally after 72 minutes as Rose found Charsley in the middle and he laid back the perfect pass for Maynard to strike home another low finish for his 15th of the season.
But United set up a tense finish when Watt’s cross from the left caught on the wind and flew under the crossbar.
And in the third of four added minutes Kayode dramatically turned home a left-wing Watt free-kick from close range.
