Theo Robinson scored a late brace as Colchester claimed a 3-1 victory over Sky Bet League Two leaders Swindon to extend their unbeaten league run to 16 matches.
The hosts went close early on through Robinson while – at the other end – Michael Doughty fired straight at Dean Gerken.
Goalkeeper Gerken denied both Hallam Hope and Kaiyne Woolery before half-time.
But Swindon eventually took the lead after 48 minutes when Diallang Jaiyesimi finished from close range from Doughty’s short pass, seconds after Ryan Jackson had made a fine tackle to deny Hope in the area.
Gerken made fine saves to foil Doughty and Hope but Colchester levelled after 74 minutes through substitute Luke Norris, who nodded in from close range after Tom Eastman had headed Cohen Bramall’s free-kick straight into his path.
Robinson then fired Colchester ahead with five minutes remaining after Harry Pell had helped on Bramall’s corner.
And the U’s completed an impressive victory when Robinson netted from close range from Norris’ headed assist, after goalkeeper Steve Benda had only partially palmed away Courtney Senior’s cross.
