Jamie Murphy could be in line for his Burton debut as they host Accrington in the Sky Bet League One on Saturday.
The 30-year-old was reunited with former manager Nigel Clough, who he had played under at Sheffield United, after joining the Brewers on loan from Rangers on Wednesday.
Joe Powell, who signed from West Ham, could also make his debut having missed the deadline for Burton’s previous game on January 14.
On-loan duo Nathan Broadhead and Richard Nartey could both return from hamstring problems.
Accrington boss John Coleman will be without Wilson Carvalho for his side’s trip to Burton.
The Portuguese winger has sustained an ankle injury and is expected to be sidelined for two weeks.
Accrington have suffered another blow with top goalscorer Colby Bishop set to miss at least a month with a hamstring injury.
Goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov is sidelined, while on-loan Jerome Opoku could feature for Stanley for the first time since January 11.
