Conor Gallagher set for Swansea debut

Swansea could hand a debut to new signing Conor Gallagher against Wigan.

The midfielder joined on loan from Chelsea earlier this week, having cut short a temporary stay at the Swans’ Championship rivals Charlton.

Liverpool loanee Rhian Brewster is in line for a home debut after making his bow at Cardiff last week.

Mike Van Der Hoorn is set to be sidelined for the next three weeks with a knee problem, but fellow defender Joe Rodon and midfielder Jordan Garrick are nearing a return to action following injury.

Wigan boss Paul Cook will be without defender Charlie Mulgrew.

The Scot, recently carrying a calf issue, was recalled by parent club Blackburn this week.

Chelsea loanee Dujon Sterling remains a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury a fortnight ago in Wigan’s FA Cup defeat to Leicester.

Midfielder Michael Jacobs (hamstring), striker Kieffer Moore (calf) and defender Danny Fox (groin) are all expected to miss out.
