Ridehalgh and Banks could return for Tranmere against Ipswich

Tranmere will be boosted by the return to fitness of Liam Ridehalgh and Ollie Banks if their League One match against Ipswich goes ahead.
Rovers saw Tuesday’s FA Cup replay against Watford postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and there remain serious concerns the Prenton Park pitch will not improve before the weekend, though the club’s board have said they expect it to go ahead.
Ridehalgh has been missing since the turn of the year while Banks has spent three months out with a muscular problem, but both have been on the bench recently and are considered fit.
Scott Davies, Mark Ellis and Evan Gumbs all remain out while Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is a doubt.
Ipswich have seen their injury worries ease over the past few days.
Teddy Bishop and Cole Skuse both returned as late substitutes in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Accrington, their first win in eight.
Janoi Donacien was an unused substitute for the match following his knee injury.
Ben Morris is nearing a return from an ACL injury, while Jack Lankester is recovering from a back problem.
