Dummett and Gayle out as Newcastle injury woes continue
Posted Tuesday, January 14, 2020 by PA

Defender Paul Dummett and striker Dwight Gayle are out of Newcastle’s FA Cup third round replay against Rochdale after limping out of Saturday’s Premier League draw at Wolves.
Both men suffered hamstring strains before half-time at Molineux and were due to undergo scans on Monday morning to determine the extent of the damage.
Striker Joelinton, who played on with a groin problem, is yet to be ruled out of the clash with League One Dale while skipper Jamaal Lascelles could return after recovering from a fractured tibia.
The game will come too soon for midfielder Jonjo Shelvey and forward Allan Saint-Maximin (both hamstring), while defenders Javier Manquillo and Fabian Schar (also both hamstring) and DeAndre Yedlin (knee), as well as midfielder Ki Sung-yueng and striker Yoshinori Muto (both knocks), are still sidelined.
Rochdale have defender Rhys Norrington-Davies available again.
The Welshman, who is on loan from Sheffield United, has been out since suffering a facial injury against Fleetwood on Boxing Day.
That gives manager Brian Barry-Murphy a lift but he still has a number of other doubts.
Oliver Rathbone, Tyler Magloire, Paul McShane, Matt Done and Ryan McLaughlin have all missed games recently and are battling to be fit.
