Morton boosted their bid to avoid relegation from the Ladbrokes Championship with a 2-1 win at Arbroath.
The Ton raced into a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes through John Sutton and Luca Colville.
Sutton headed the visitors into a 12th-minute lead and Colville doubled their advantage from Robbie Muirhead’s cross.
Arbroath halved the deficit within four minutes through Scott Stewart’s header.
Morton had won only once away all season but they held on to move level on points with Partick, who are eighth on goal difference.
The home defeat sees Arbroath stay seventh in the table, three points better off than Morton.
